Topsham Road - a superbly constructed and finished apartment, making full use of a development opportunity.
This property was carefully designed by the Architects WWD of Marsh Barton, Exeter, who secured planning permission for the owners of the adjoining property. The Architect managed the complete building project along with the clients. The base was a ground bearing concrete slab with a cast upstand designed to accept vehicles.
Westructure Timber Frame were appointed to design and fabricate the timber frame. We modeled the frame in 3d and gained the clearance from the Client and Architect to push forward with the manufacture of the timber frame panel kit. The design is very well thought out internally with a great deal of effort to optimise the available floor space.
The timber frame kit was erected within a week and a half and was immediately roofed in the dry. The follow on trades were ready to spring into action and the property was completed in record time. The property was used as an additional income for the adjoining house until recently it was sold.
